On the occasion of the revised version of the brochure, TTIP: a charter for deregulation, an attack on jobs, an end to democracy, the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – Brussels Office, in collaboration with the Outview Queer Film Festival, are organizing an open discussion about TTIP titled What is TTIP?, on Tuesday 12th of May 2015 at 19:30 at the Greek Film Archive (Iera Odos 48 & Megalou Alexandrou, 10435 Kerameikos)

Some info on TTIP
What is TTIP and what impact will its enforcement have on our lives? The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a free trade and free investment agreement currently being negotiated (in secret) by the EU and the US. Its purpose is to facilitate the reaping of potential profits made by transnational corporations on both sides of the Atlantic, at the expense of our most fundamental rights and assets: workers’ rights, food safety regulations (including those pertaining to GMOs), restrictions on the use of toxic chemicals, internet privacy laws. These are only a few of the areas that will be affected by the implementation of the agreement.
The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – Athens Office was one of the actors invited to the Global Day of Action Against TTIP and CETA.
